We offer Bronze Casting Bronze castings Gunmetal Castings
Gunmetal Casting casting facility up to 40 kg's
in weight and Brass castings up to 1meter in length. Our sand casting
facility is well equipped to tackle any challenging Brass Casting job or
Brass Bronze Casting Gun Metal Casting Bronze casting
enquiry.
Gunmetal castings, lead-free
Lead-free Gunmetals G1, G2, G3 are alloys mainly utilised as shaped
castings with Admiralty gunmetal G1 being the most commonly used. They are
now however, becoming less common since the leaded metals especially LG4,
can offer similar mechanical and corrosion resistant properties coupled with
an improvement in pressure tightness and castability.
Gunmetal castings, leaded
The Leaded Gunmetals LG1, LG2, LG3 and LG4, are the most popular group of
alloys for general casting purposes. LG2 is used for the production of such
items as valve bodies and fittings, impeller and centrifugal pump bodies.
It offers moderate cost and good corrosion resistance however, LG4 offers
improved mechanical properties and better resistance to impingement and
cavitation attack in contact with fast moving waters. LG3 is somewhat
intermediate in properties between LG2 and LG4. The remaining alloy has the
distinct advantage of lower cost but is inferior in all other respects to
the other three alloys in this group.
We can cast copper alloys of various specifications as per IS, BS, SAE,
DIN, & ASTM standards. The board categories of materials that we can cast IS
as follows;
- Tin Bronzes and Phosphor Bronzes.
BS1400, PB1, PB2, CT1, CT2
- Leaded Tin Bronzes and Gun-Metals.
BS1400, LG1, LG2, LG4
- Aluminium Bronzes.
BS1400, AB1, AB2
- High tensible Brass and Manganese Bronzes.
BS1400, HTB1, HTB2, HTB3
- Nickel Bronzes and Cupronickels including monel metal.
